Wilma Jean Garrett

Wilma Jean Garrett, 83, passed away on September 28, 2018 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born April 4, 1935. She was a native Cranks and a member of the Holiness Faith. Wilma was kind, loving and selfless. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Aunt, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Garrett is preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Maude Seals; Husband, Dan Garrett; Daughter, Nancy Garrett Noe; Brothers, Jim Seals, Frank Seals, Jess Seals, Bobby Joe Seals, Glenn Seals and Grant Seals; Sister, Ore Thomas.
Wilma Jean is survived by her loving Children, Danny Ray Garrett of Cranks, Thelma Bray and Husband Dillard of Crummies Creek, Maxine Clayborn and the late James Clayborn of Bobs Creek, Mary Childers and Husband Dink of Jonesville, VA, Donna Kay Clayborn and Husband Jerry of Cranks, Peggy Garrett of Coalgood, Cynthia Wilson and Husband Nick of Coalgood, Tonya Roberts and Husband Jimmy of Wallins, Marsha Powers and Husband George of Cumberland, Jacqueline Bailey and Husband Jack of Cranks; 13 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Myrtle Brewer of Cawood, Laura King of Harlan and Betty Arvin of Harlan; Special Friends, Jim Engle, Dallas Blevins, Billy Joe Hensley, Pat Garrett and Kelly Hall; A Host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday October 1, 2018 at 1PM with Gary Grubbs and Tommy Helton officiating. Burial will follow at the Garrett – Browning Cemetery.
