Willie Greear

Willie Greear, 72 of Evarts, passed away on June 21, 2024 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1951 to the Late Lloyd and Anna Hood in Norton, VA.

He held many jobs throughout his life, working as a coal miner for several years, Friendship Ambulance Service, where he met his Wife, Betty and for Exive Technologies before he retired. He was a member of Shields Pentecostal Church. 

Mr. Greear is preceded in death by his Parents; His Wife, Betty Greear; Sister, Martha Lambert and a Brother, Freddie Hood.

Willie is survived by his Sons, Chris Greear and Matthew Greear and Wife Amanda; Grandchildren, Anthony Greear, Logan Greear and Dallas Strong; Mother of his Children, Janice Hibbitts; Brother-in-Law, Millard; Sister-in-law, Pat; and Very Special Friends, DJ, Joey and Janice Fulkerson; a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends will also mourn his passing. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 30th, 2024 at Sheilds Pentecostal Church from 12PM to 3PM. Funeral Service will begin at 3PM with Curtis Sanders Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Creech Cemetery in Cumberland.
