William “Bill” (Candyman) Helton, age 68 of Elcomb, KY, born August 14, 1945 at Three Point, KY, passed away February 15, 2014 at the ARH Hospital. He was a truck driver for over 30 years and enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his grandsons and friends. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Kentucky Colonel. He attended the Grays Knob Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Helton, mother, Pauline, one brother, Roger “Possum” Helton and one sister, Susie Parker.
He is survived by four children: Billy Helton of Harlan, KY, Kim Ealy (Greg Ealy) of Harlan, KY, Clinton Helton, California, and Amber Helton of Harlan, KY; 5 grandchildren: Justin Helton, Harlan, KY, Matt Williams and Breanna Ealy both of Richmond, KY, and Lila and Lennon Helton of California; sister, Cathy Massingale of Elcomb, KY; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, special friends: Ermon Sizemore, Hogan Garrett, Melvin Hubbs, Henry Green, Jack and Becky Fultz, Ellis Farmer; special lady, Diana Helton, special friend, Betty Widner; and a special thanks to Lisa Boggs for making William peanut butter candy he so enjoyed.
