William A. “Buck” Qualls, age 96 passed away January 29, 2018 in Canton, Ohio, formerly of Cawood, KY. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Canton. Buck was a Kentucky Colonel and worked for Alex Shoe Shop in Harlan, Reynolds & Reynolds in Louisville, KY making large artillery shells, Anderson Window Assembly, Rahn Granite as a surface plate Lapper, and a collating machine builder for Harris Corporation in Dayton, Ohio.
Buck was born November 6, 1921 in Dayhoit, to the late Thomas Sevier Qualls and LoraAnn Moore Qualls. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by seven brothers: Elmer (Della) Qualls, Tilman (Joyce) Qualls, Thurman (Jeanne) Qualls, Howard (Mary)Qualls, James (Pat) Qualls, Franklin (Rhonda) Qualls, Harvey (Ethel) Qualls, and one infant sister Gertrude Qualls.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Rosezelle Boggs Qualls and a son Thomas S. Qualls, 3 Grandchildren: Cheyene, Katelyn and Thomas “Tommy” Qualls, all of Canton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in honor of William “Buck” Qualls on April 28, 2018 at 1 PM at the Nazarene Church on the airport road at Baxter, KY. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
