Vivian Nolan, age 80, of Maryville, TN formerly of Harlan, KY passed away April 16, 2015 at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 12, 1934 in Harlan, KY to the late Denver and Fannie Middleton Nolan. She was a hard worker and most of the time, worked two jobs. She loved life and was quite the jokester. She loved the Lord and held onto her faith until the end. Vivian was a wonderful mother and will be missed every day.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Sandra Kay Powers Stringfield, brothers, Foil, Sheridan, and Hampton Nolan, sisters, Mossie Nolan Gross, Opalee Nolan Napier, and Gladys Nolan Adkins.
Survivors include her children, Kerry Lynn Powers and wife Eva of Lenoir City, TN, Carolyn Elaine Walker and husband, Charles of New Tazewell, TN, and Michael Howard Herron and fiancé, Pam Brewster of Lenoir City, TN, grandchildren, John Ben Powers, April Nicole Powers, Rusty Powers, Clifton Stringfield, Tony Andrew Button, Wendy Alaine Button Jeffers, Mary Lurena Button, Justin Michael Herron, Jacob Dale Herron, and Jordan Elizabeth Herron, brothers, Bill and Melvin Nolan, sisters, Margaret Nolan Cornn, Martha Nolan Younts, Muriel Nolan Lambert and Barbara Nolan Ruffino, 15 great grandchildren and a many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 22 from 11AM to 12:30PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 12:30PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Bo Cornn officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
