Violet Gross

Mrs. Violet Gross, age 92, of Harlan passed away peacefully Thursday November 15, 2018 at the Hyden Health and Rehabilitation Center. Violet was born Greek Orthodox on January 9, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charlie and Genevieve Commonos. She was a member of the Church of God in Sunshine. She worked for General Electric and she was a member of the Women’s Auxillary Army Corps (WAAC).
Violet is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morgan Gross Sr. and she has Nine children that are deceased.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Gordon Gross of Harlan, Morgan Gross Jr. of Wallins and Sharon Wilder of Harlan, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday November 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home beginning at 9 to 12 PM. Funeral Service will be on Monday at 12 PM with the Reverend Nick Noe officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Maggard Cemetery in Letcher County.
