Mrs. Viola Wilson Cooper, age 87 of Bledsoe passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Harlan Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cooper was born June 13, 1928 to the late Robert and Della Mae Forrester Wilson. Over the course of her lifetime Mrs. Cooper dedicated herself to unselfishly caring, loving and shaping the minds of over two-hundred foster children.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her husband Jim Cooper; sons, Andrew Gordon Cooper, Roger Lynn Cooper and stepson Buddy Cooper. Brothers, Eli Wilson, Elza Wilson and sister, Myrtle Wilson.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Tina Marie (Frank) Farley, Christine Wheeler. Stepchildren, Yvonne, Gary and James Jr. Brothers, Harold (Oma) Wilson, Hurley (Bess) Wilson. Sisters, Mary Jane Daniel, Barbara Pond, Francis Daniel. Grandchildren, Gregory Gordon Cooper, Kristy Rochelle (Matthew) Barton, Isaac Cooper, Dustin Cooper, Cody Allen Farley, Anthony Glen (Brittany) Farley and William Trey Farley. Nine Great Grandchildren and over 200 Foster Children.
Visitation for Mrs. Viola Cooper will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 12PM to 2PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Service will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 2PM in the Chapel with Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Cooper Family Cemetery at Bledsoe, KY.
Pallbearers will include Cody Allen Farley, Anthony Glen Farley, William Trey Farley, Tate Kitts, Reese Kitts and Zachery Jackson.
