Verlan Madden, 82, of Evarts, passed away October 27, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born to the late John and Thelma Posey Madden on April 9, 1937. He was a preacher for 58 years.
Mr. Madden is preceded in death by his Parents; First wife of 54 years, Rossie Lee Cloud Madden; One brother, Tony Madden; Two sisters, Phyllis Barnett and Margaret Simpson.
Verlan is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Madden; Son, Johnny Madden; Daughter in law{like a daughter]Noreen Madden; Step Children, Jonathan Grogan, Nicole Warman and Zachary Aslinger and Wife Merisa; Grand Daughters, Emma Aslinger, Jocelyn Aslinger and Aubrey Aslinger; Grandsons, John Isaac Madden and wife Cara, Brandon Alexander Madden and Parker Warman; Great Grandchildren, Hailey Madden, Ariel Madden, John Isaac Madden II, Charlie Madden; Sister in Law, Gail Risner; Great Nieces, Rayanna Smith and Ava “Gracie” Smith; Great Nephews, Gunner Smith and Noah Risner; Good friend, Anita Rossi; A Host of other family and friends also mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 4PM to 6PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 2PM also in the Chapel with Bill Moore, Chris Napier and Shaun Aslinger officiating. Burial will follow at Evarts Memorial Gardens with Isaac Madden, Brandon Madden, Jon Grogan, Zack Aslinger, Steve Risner and Shaun Aslinger will serve as pallbearers.
