Timothy Paul Hawkins

Timothy Paul Hawkins, 65 of Fresh Meadows, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Timothy was born on March 9, 1959 to the late Jim and Barbara Hawkins.

Timothy worked as a skilled carpenter and concrete finisher, trained by his father, Jim Hawkins. Tim carried on this legacy by passing down these skills to the younger generations. He always worked and provided for his family. He loved his Wife, Children and Grandchildren tremendously and would always lend a helping hand when they needed him. Timothy was like a big kid and all of the kids enjoyed having him around. He absolutely loved fishing and went every chance he got, winning many tournaments through the years.

Mr. Hawkins is preceded in death by his Parents, Jim and Barbara Hawkins; Son, Brian Hawkins; Sisters, Peggy Hawkins and Debra Hawkins Brown; Brothers, Robert Hawkins, Richard Hawkins and Andy Hawkins; and a Sister in law, Lana Hawkins.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife of almost 43 years, Billie Lankford Flynn Hawkins; Children, Michelle Flynn, Paula “PJ” Flynn Schlimper, Michael Flynn and Wife Christy and Greg Flynn and Wife Glenda; Grandchildren, Heather Schlimper and Fiancé Kenny, Christina Beezley and Husband Brad, Matthew Scott Sturgill and Fiancé Sydney Mason, Courtney Polk- Hatfield and Husband Bo, April Flynn, Mason Polk, Sarah Flynn-Greene and Husband Damian, Leland Bryant, Maddi Bryant and Keegan Bryant; Several Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Ernie Hawkins and Wife Joey, Donnie Hawkins and Wife Lisa; Sisters, Shirley Hawkins Hill, Emily Hawkins Turner and Husband Tom and Becky Hawkins; Brother In Law, Eddie Brown and Sister In Law, Jeanette Hawkins; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews will also mourn his passing.

Visitation will begin at 4PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Loyall First Baptist Church until a Celebration of Life service beginning at 6PM. A Celebration of life for Timothy’s Son, Brian Hawkins will also be held alongside his beginning at 6PM. Pastor BO Hawkins will be officiating.
