Thelma Jones Branson, 94 of Harlan, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday November 23, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born January 19, 1926 to Ora and Bertha Jones.
Thelma was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and a faithful Christian for many years and was a member of the True Temples of God of the Free People. She was a mentor and friend to many throughout her life. She was a Godly example and light to her family, whom she dearly loved, She was a devoted wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to many. Thelma was an employee of the Harlan Independent School system for many years.
Besides her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband of 71 years Olin Branson, one infant daughter Wanda Jean Branson, daughter Phyllis Branson Osborne, Son in laws Clifford Osborne, Paul Osborne, Brothers Ray Jones, George Jones, JB Jones, Harold Jones, Willard Jones, Simon Jones, Sisters Edna Gilbert, Dorothy Ramsey, Beulah Maggard.
She is survived by her sister Nora Lee Stewart, daughter Bernell Osborne of Harlan, Grand children Darrell (Mary) Perkins, Sheila (Rob) Gilbert, Sherry (Kenny) Jackson, Marlene (Dallas) Sergent. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten Great great grandchildren.
All Services will be Private with Buddy Sparks and Robert Gilbert officiating.
Per Governor Andy Beshear’s Executive Order; All Visitations, Funeral/Memorial Services and Graveside/Committal Services are limited to 25 individuals total, regardless of where the services are held. No rotation of individuals in and out of the funeral home for visitations will be allowed. Masks are required for entry into the Funeral Home. All Services are required to be private.
