Terry Wayne Forester passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on January 14, 2022 at age 72. He was born December 25, 1949 and was a native of Harlan County, Kentucky where he lived his entire life. Terry was an avid baseball player in his youth and received several trophies. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing along with his dad and brothers and then his son and grandsons.
Terry served briefly in the United States Army until given a medical discharge. Afterward, he was a coal miner for most of his life and worked at Benham Coal Company and Scotia Mines where he was active in mine safety competitions. He later became employed as an MSHA federal mine inspector until his retirement.
Terry was married November 24, 1972 to Frankie Lyndeon Middleton with whom he shared 49 years until her passing on January 13, 2022, just one day prior to Terry.
Terry was preceded in death by wife Frankie, his father James Albert Forester, his mother Jeanette (Brown) Forester, and his brothers Dale Alexander Forester and James Stevenson Forester.
He is survived by His son Joseph T. Forester and daughter-in-law Melissa (Prewitt) Forester, grandsons Hunter Forester and Dakota Forester, his sister Tammy D. (Forester) Bledsoe, five nephews, one niece, three grand-nephews, and one grand-niece.
We have lost you for now, Terry, but Jesus has taken you to be with Him until we all meet again in the presence our Heavenly Father. There is joy to know that you now have rest and peace is the arms of God. Pain no longer has any hold on you.
Visitation will be Saturday January 22, 2022 at the Totz Church of God with Mark Turner officiating from 12-1 PM and funeral services will be at 1 PM. A Private Burial will be held.
