Robert Hamlin, age 92, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Vantage Pointe Village in Ashland City, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hamlin was born in Martins Fork, Kentucky, on June 11, 1924, to the late Wick and Florence Smith Hamlin. He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired production worker/oiler for the Ford Motor Corporation. He was a loving husband to his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Smith Hamlin, who survives him. Mr. Hamlin’s other survivors include his son, Jerry (Janis) Hamlin; brothers, Lester and Walter Hamlin; sisters, Gladys (Ernest) Hensley and Jearline (Vince) Eades; grandchildren, Robert Spencer (Amy) Hamlin and Callie Jonet (Eric) Meadows; and his great-grandchildren, Hollister Hamlin, Camdyn Hamlin, Meili Hamlin, McKendrie Meadows and Hensley Meadows. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral service for Mr. Hamlin will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 12noon at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God in Smith, Kentucky, with Ernest Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Hensley Cemetery in Smith, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, Feb 22nd from 10am until service hour of 12noon.
