Ralph “Rusty” Patterson, 70, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017 at the Veterans hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by his beloved family. Rusty was born on May 31,1946 in Beverly, Kentucky, to Oscoe and Lucy Patterson. Rusty served in the Vietnam War, he is a U.S. Army Veteran and believed in the Holiness Faith, he was a member of the Jenson Holiness Church in Jenson, KY.
He is preceded in death by his father Oscoe Patterson, and a brother Ronnie Patterson.
Rusty leaves to mourn his passing his mother Lucy Patterson of Ft. Wayne, IN, his wife Viola Patterson of Corbin, KY, His daughter Angela Bielko of Stoney Fork, KY, Grandchildren-Corben and Kala Bielko, brothers- Robert Patterson, Larry Patterson, Jimmy Patterson and Randy Patterson all of Ft. Wayne, IN.
Visitation will be in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home in Harlan, Kentucky on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 5 to 9 PM. Funeral will be Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 12 pm also in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Revereds: Tom Elliott, Joe Burns, Jerry McKinley Holland and Richard Asher officiating. Interment will follow in the Saylor Cemetery in Stoney Fork, Kentucky. Military Honors will be conducted by the Harlan County Honor Guard. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
