Patricia Whitaker Boggs

Patricia Whitaker Boggs, age 58, of Big Laurel, entered Heaven’s eternal gates on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a Nurse Practitioner at the Red Fox Clinic. She was born to Charlie and Joyce Whitaker on September 27, 1958.
Patty was one of the kindest, strongest and most stubborn person you could ever meet. She was a people-and animal-person. She built her life around her family and helping others. She loved to dance and sing with her family. She was a horse fanatic and could talk for hours about all of her adventures. She shared her love of horses with her family and recruited all of them to become avid equestrians “horse people.” She loved her mother so much, they spent every other Thursday having “nail day” at tips and toes. Her son David was always in on those days and loved to “help” the nail tech during the manicures. She loved being outdoors whether riding horses or running with the kids. She loved doing 5k races and was planning to run a half marathon in the near future. Pat was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. Her smile was as big as her heart. She lived life to the fullest and had a great life. Rest in Peace-you take part of our hearts with you.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father Charlie Lee Whitaker. She is survived by her Husband Larry Brent Boggs, her Mother Joyce Whitaker, a Sister Suzy Madden (Paxton), Children Rachel Boggs, James Arthur Boggs (Elizabeth), David Scott Boggs, Grandchildren Grayson Riley Lewis, Aidan K Lewis, Sarah Leighanne Boggs and Annabelle Lucille Boggs.
Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016 from 5PM to 9PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1 PM in the chapel with Reverend Greg Whitaker officiating.
