Orvil "Mac" Shackleford, a beloved family man and skilled professional in the field of Injection Molding, passed away on August 21, 2023, in Ontario, California. Born on February 21, 1942, in Harlan, Kentucky, Mac's life was marked by his dedication to his work and his unwavering love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett H. and Della Mae Shackleford; btother Kenneth Lewis Shackleford and sisters, Onda Lee Conley, Lucille Phipps and Lillian Dozier.
Mac developed a successful career in Injection Molding, starting at Wayne Plastics and later transferring to Sheller Globe in the early 1970s. Throughout his professional journey, he held various positions such as Foreman and Supervisor, showcasing his extraordinary knowledge of automobiles and problem-solving abilities. Mac became well-liked by many people and was often sought out by friends as the go-to guy for mechanical issues.
Outside of work, Mac enjoyed indulging in his passion for antique automobiles. His collection of classic cars was a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and an era gone by. Mac's love for these vehicles was matched only by his great sense of humor, which never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Mac took immense pride in being a family-loving man. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and created countless memories that will forever be treasured. He brought warmth and love into the lives of those closest to him and will be forever missed.
Mac leaves behind a grieving wife, Diane Shackleford, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. His three sons, Rudy Shackleford (wife Katrina), Rodney Shackleford, and Ricky Shackleford (wife Patricia), were blessed with a dedicated father who instilled in them values of love, perseverance, and hard work.
In addition to immediate family members, Mac is survived by his brother Ronnie Dale Shackleford. Together with extended family and numerous friends who were fortunate enough to have known him during his lifetime, they mourn the loss of a remarkable man.
Mac's passing creates a void that will never be filled, but his indelible impact on the lives he touched will continue to resonate. His memory will serve as a guiding light, reminding us of the importance of cherishing family, pursuing our passions, and finding joy in everyday moments.

Burial will be in the Clem Hall Cemetery at Harlan, KY.
