Mary Evelyn Hensley, age 82 of Totz, Kentucky passed away early Sunday morning, February 12, 2023.
Mary was born February 26, 1940 in Elkhorn, West Virginia in McDowell County. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruce D. Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virgie Hazelwood Sparks, a sister, Dolly Williams, a brother-in-law Albert Williams, a brother Clayton Sparks, a sister-in-law Redia Mae Sparks and a brother-in-law Curtis Vannoy.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Susie (Denny) Mullins, Nolansburg, KY, Donna (Nicky) Noe, Harlan, KY and James (Jimmy) Hensley, Totz, KY.
Mary is also survived by her grandchildren; Matthew Mullins (Heather), Ashley Mullins (Eli), Lyndsey Noe Carmical (David), Seth Noe, Zachary Noe (Leah), Branden Watts, Tyler Hensley (Maddie), Brittany Nolan (Zach).
Survived by her great-grandchildren; Samson Mullins, Hunter Napier, Cameron Carmical, Samuel Carmical, Benjamin Carmical, Tyson Hensley, Kylie Watts, Kolby Watts, Harleigh Belle Nolan, Zachary James Nolan and soon to be a new baby boy Nolan.
Mary is survived by her loving sisters, Peggy Vannoy of Bluefield, West Virginia, Darlene (Monus) Peace, Closplint, KY and her loving brother and sister-in-law Larry (Jo) Sparks.
Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and her loving Tri-City Family that loved her as their own and provided wonderful care to our beloved mom. We can never thank you enough.
Mary Hensley was of the Church of God faith. She attended the Totz Church of God and taught Sunday School for many years. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She enjoyed being around her grandchildren and flea marketing with her husband, Bruce after he retired. She enjoyed road trips with her daughters. She was a quilter and loved making quilts for all to enjoy. She loved all of her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was the best gravy and biscuit maker in this world-and she was.
The family will have a private graveside service, Wednesday at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Nicky Noe officiating at the Greenhill Cemetery at Middlesboro, KY and laid to rest beside her husband.
