Mary Farmer, age 92, of Cawood, KY passed away March 4, 2015 at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 3, 1923 in Harlan County to the late Lloyd and Charity Hensley Fowler. She was a retired cook from the Harlan ARH and believed in the Church of God faith.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Farmer, brothers, Clarence, Beckham and William Fowler and sisters Dorothy Hatcher and Elizabeth Johnson.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Sarah Joanna (Roland) Black of New Carlisle, OH, Charity Arnetta (Avery) Lawson of Wallins, and Kay Bargo of Cawood, KY, brothers, Edward Fowler of Ohio and Ike Fowler of Michigan, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday, March 8 at 1PM at the Cawood Church of God with Rev. John Carter officiating. Burial will be at the Farmer Cemetery, Cranks, KY with grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
