Martha Louise Shoemaker

Martha Louise Shoemaker, age 73 of Benham, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2020 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born May 7, 1946 in Silver Springs, Maryland. She was a faithful member of the Benham United Methodist Church and an active member of the Methodist Women.
Martha is preceded in death by her mother Janet Cross, her step father Phillip Cross, her loving husband Humphrey Shoemaker III and son Brian Shoemaker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Dana Steketee and husband Glen of Versailles, grandchildren Natalie Shoemaker, Kevin York and Kate York, daughter in law Amy Shoemaker of Winchester, Brother in law Bob Shoemaker of Cumberland, nephews Michael Shoemaker and wife Mitzi of Inez, Jeffery Shoemaker and wife Robin of Cumberland, Great nephews Fred, Thomas and Eli, great nieces Devyn and Mayhgen, and many beloved friends.
Family will receive friends Monday January 13, 2020 from 6 to 9 PM at the Benham United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 2 PM also at the church with Brother Gary Biddle officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Acres Cemetery in Hiram, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
