Marilyn Lewis

Marilyn Lewis, 55 of Bledsoe, passed away at home with her family on September 26, 2024. She was born to the late Harvey and Fannie Jones Colwell in Perry County, Ky on April 15, 1969. She was adopted and raised by French and Henrietta Colwell in Shepherdsville, Ky. She moved back to the mountains and married Ronnie L. Lewis on April 2, 1991. Marilyn attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Teetersville for the last several years.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her natural Parents; Adopted Father, French Colwell; and a Brother, Everette Colwell.

Marilyn is survived by her loving Husband Ronnie L. Lewis; Daughter, Molly Cornett and Husband Tyrone of Slemp, KY; Son, Ronnie A. Lewis and Wife Emily of Georgetown, KY; Dakota Cornett of Bledsoe whom she raised as her own son; Adopted Mother, Henrietta Colwell of Shepherdsville, KY; Two Brothers, Paul Colwell and Wife Carolyn of Shepherdsville and Doug Colwell of Lousiville, KY; Three Sisters, Phenessa Sizemore of Hyden, Teresa Bently of Bledsoe and Louise Steele of Hopkinsville; Several Grandchildren also survive.

Visitation for Mrs. Lewis will be held from 5PM to 7PM at Immanuel Baptist Church in Teetersville on Monday, September 30, 2024. Funeral Services will follow at 7PM with Arnold Martin Officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11AM at the Lewis Cemetery in Bledsoe with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.

Marilyn's Family would like to thank Pastor Arnold Martin, Mrs. Janice Lawson, Hospice Care and the entire Immanuel Baptist Church Family for making a hard road much easier to travel.
