Levi R. Simpson

Levi R. Simpson, 87 of Wallins, passed from heart failure on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Joe and Maudie Morgan Simpson on August 26, 1933. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran.
Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by his Parents, Three Brothers and One Sister.
Levi is survived by his loving Wife, Betty Simpson; Daughter, Beverly Gumm of Lexington; Special Grandson, Dylan Simpson; Special Great Granddaughter, Shayley Simpson; Brothers, Ray Simpson, Joe Simpson Jr. and TheaRoy Simpson; Sisters, Mary Brock and Gelema Loomis.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11AM till 1PM with Funeral Services following at 1PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Stepp will be officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
The family requests that donations be made to The Harlan County Honor Guard.
Due to the mandate set forth by the governor of Kentucky, attendees must wear a mask at all times, practice social distancing and only 50% of our capacity is allowed.
