Kay Francis Begley, age 67 of Harlan passed away peacefully on August 1, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Kay was born on January 22, 1952 to Glen and Lois Manning. She believed in the Christian Faith. Kay’s greatest blessing in life was being called Mom and Mamaw.
Kay is preceded in death by her loving husband James Begley of 28 years, father Glen Manning, brother Donald Manning and a sister in law Charlotte Manning, father in law Perry Begley.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother Lois Napier Manning, her children: Jason Begley and wife Christina of Cawood, Melissa Mullins of Nicholasville, KY, Grandchildren: Sarah Beth Mullins, Ethan Mullins, James Perry Begley, Emma Begley, brothers Glen Manning and wife Sue of Florida, Neil Manning and wife Michelle of Evarts, James Manning and wife Gwen of Evarts, sister Karen Witt and husband David of Harlan, Mother in law Lucille Begley of Lancaster, KY, sister in laws Dean Napier of Lancaster and Lorene Wulf and husband Dennis of St. Louis, MO, and a host of loving nieces and nephews, a special thank you to the Doctors and nurses of UK Cardiac CCU
Visitation will be Sunday August 4, 2019 from 1-3 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Eddie Huckleby officiating. Interment will be in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
