June Gross Brite

June Gross Brite, age 58, of Monticello formerly of Harlan Co., KY passed away September 12, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY following a long illness. She was born September 21, 1955 at Loyall, KY to the late Jim and Effie Brock Gross. She was the retired manager for Holly Point Apartments and believed in the Baptist faith.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by granddaughter, Codie Ison, brothers, Filous Gross and J.B. Gross, and sister-in-law, Shirlene Gross.

She is survived by her husband, Mickey Brite, of Monticello, KY, 4 children: Rachel (Dustin) Roedel of London, KY, Mary Brite Cobb of Lexington, KY, Nathan Brite of Berea, KY, and Tiffany (Cody) Ison, of Monticello, KY; grandchildren: Dustan, Jr., Daniel, Brianna, and Brian Roedel, Isabella and Payton Ison; brothers, Gilbert (Sue) Gross of Knoxville, TN, James (Denise) Gross of Joliet, IL, and Jesse Gross of Arlington Heights, IL; sisters, Bonnie Nance of Naperville, IL, Mae Farmer of Hanover Park, IL, June (Jerry) Hubbs of Seymour, TN, Darlene Cagle of Hinkley, IL, Joy (Bob) Milwee of Arlington Heights, IL, Mary Lindsey, Mussel Shoals, AL, Fran Mascheri of Belgium, IL and Helen Leavesley of Lakewood Park, FL. A hose of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be Monday, September 15 from 6 to 9PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, September 16 at 11AM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Reverend Rob Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Brite Family Cemetery, Cawood, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
