John Henry Wilson, age 79, of Bledsoe, KY went home to be with Jesus April 16, 2014 at the Middlesboro ARH following a long illness. He was born February 2, 1935 in Harlan, KY to the late Henry Wilson and Willimae Taylor Wilson. He was in the United States Air Force. He was a barber and a truck driver.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers: J.C. Wilson, Edgar Wilson, Roger Cooper, Gordon Cooper, and Eli Cooper and a sister, Bonnie Syner.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Cooper, Sr., Bledsoe, KY and James Cooper, Jr. of Baxter, KY; sisters: Yvonne Hamlow of Florida, Christine Cooper of Bledsoe, KY, and Tina Farley of Bledsoe, KY; special niece, Samantha Cooper, and special nephew, Dalton Cooper; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Cooper, Cheryl Cooper, and Gracie Mae Wilson; brother-in-law, Bill Hamlow; nieces and nephews: Joe, Dale, Chris, Brittany, and Debra Wilson, Cynthia Cooper, Gary Cooper, Jr., Brittany Cooper, Tiffany Cooper, Mary Saylor, Jennifer Roe, Linda Salter, Rhonda Mouchette, Crystal Clevenger, Tabitha Parker, David, Scott, and Kevin Cooper, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 5 to 7PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 7PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Billy Cann officiating. Burial will be Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 10AM at the Wilson Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
