Jerry Dale Gilbert

Mr. Jerry Dale Gilbert, age 42, of Wallins, KY, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at his residence. Born on May 4, 1980, Mr. Gilbert was a factory worker who loved family and cars, made people laugh, and always had a smile.

Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dalia Johnson, Adrion Osborne, Louise Gilbert, and Pete Gilbert; brother, Jackie Cornett; sister, Selena Lee Gilbert; special cousins, Ashley Osborne and Christopher Polly.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jack Gilbert and Selia Osborne (JC Turner); children, Joshua Gilbert, Justice Gilbert, Jerry Gilbert Jr., Lorenza Gilbert, Jacqueline Gilbert; sisters, Michelle Gilbert, Felicia Halcomb, Shaylee Powell; brothers, Brandon Halcomb, Skylar Cornett; aunts, “Second Mom” Adriana Polly , Samantha Osborne, Daisy Osborne, Deborah Osborne, and special aunt, Melody Belding Hendrickson and Rita Gilbert Worthington. Several nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM, at The Well Church in Dressin. Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the church at 2 PM, with the Reverend Ronnie Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at Park Howard cemetery in Wallins, KY, with Barian Polly, Skylar Cornett, Justice Gilbert, Gavin Osborne, Kaleb Hernandez, and Randy Halcomb serving as pallbearers.
