Jerry Wayne Blevins, age 62, of Molus, KY went to be with his savior, Jesus Christ, on April 10, 2014. He was born July 26, 1951 in Middletown, OH and was raised in Harlan Co., KY where he worked as a coal miner. He was a humble man, loving husband, caring father, and gracious friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. Jerry believed in the Holiness faith and attended the Molus Pentecostal Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother Rachel Ruby Saylor and father, Berry Saylor and adopted parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Blevins.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Sandra Blevins; a son, Jerry Wayne Blevins, Jr. and wife Nikki; a daughter, Chastity Carol Blevins Burkhart and husband, Cliff; his grandchildren who meant the world to him: Jerry Blake Blevins, Jordan Nicole Blevins, Kali Briann Blevins, Rachel Elizabeth Blevins, Brennan Avery Blevins, Dewayne Boggs, Joe Burkhart and Kayla Gentry; two brothers Hubert Lee Saylor and wife, Janice, and William Bill Saylor and wife Beverly.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Ray Stepp officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
