James Clayborn, age 58, of Bobs Creek, KY passed away April 7, 2016 at his home. He was born April 5, 1958 in Harlan, KY to the late Ralph and Pauline Woodard Clayborn. He was a retired coal miner and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by son, James Ray Clayborn and brother, Marvin Clayborn.
He is survived by wife, Maxine Clayborn, children, Jenny (Jeff) Green, and Peggy (Dallas) Garrett, grandchildren, Angela Estes, Brian Green Clayborn, John Boy and Jase Green, Cody, Ryan, Jordan, and Jenna Clayborn, brothers, Jerry (Kay) Clayborn, Ronnie (Melissa) Clayborn, and Gary (Ida) Colgrove, sister, Marlene Clayborn Hensley, brother-in-law, Jack Hensley, and friend, Tana. Very special friends, Nick, Cynthia, Bryson, Landon, and Mckenzie Wilson.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 10 from 4 to 6pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday, April 11 at 1pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Tommy Helton, Nick Wilson, and Charlie Ledford officiating. Burial will follow at the Day-Jackson Cemetery, Cranks, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
