Henrietta "Retta" Hensley

Henrietta “Retta” Hensley, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024 at her home in Fayetteville, NC. She was a loving wife, Devoted Mother, Cherished Grandmother and her most recent title of “GiGi’ to her only great grandson. She was a dear friend to many.

Born in Harlan, KY Retta lived a life filled with love, laughter, kindness and happiness. She was known for her warm smile and unwavering generosity. Ms. Hensley worked as a department manager at Walmart in Harlan for 26 years. She approached every task with diligence and integrity leaving a lasting impression on all that had the pleasure of working with her. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed every moment with them. 

Retta is preceded in death by her loving Husband, Tubby Hensley; Father, Oble Cobb and Mother, Rosa Mae Cobb; Siblings, Donnie Cobb, Sue Muncy, Timmy Cobb and Doris Bettis.

Retta will be dearly missed by her only Daughter, Shanan Boles and Husband Chris of Fayetteville, NC; Two Grandsons who she adored with her whole heart, Joshua Boles of Fayetteville and Jordan Boles currently of Anchorage, Alaska; Her only Great Grandson, Brantley Boles of Wallins, Ky; Siblings, Gary Cobb and Jerry Cobb both of Wallins, Brenda Cobb of Dotham, Alabama, Jackie Cobb of California.

A visitation in honor of Retta Hensley with be held in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant funeral Home on December 27, 2024 from 12PM to 3PM with Funeral Services following at 3PM. She will be laid to rest beside her Husband Tubby at Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins. 

Mrs. Retta has left this world but her love will continue to live in the hearts of all that knew her.
