Hazel Jane Middleton, beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 79 in Brownsburg, Indiana. Having been raised in Pennington Gap, Virginia Hazel made her home in Lebanon, Indiana. Born on January 10, 1944, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Robert Million and Ella Skidmore.
Besides her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Middleton, brothers, Ralph Million, Roscoe Million, Billy Million, David Million, Kenneth Million and Jerry Million.
Hazel's proudest accomplishments were centered around her role as a homemaker. She dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family.
As a mother, Hazel exemplified selflessness and devotion. She always put her family's needs above her own. Hazel's legacy lives on through the love that she instilled in their hearts.
Left to cherish Hazel's memory is her husband, Elmon Middleton, son, William "Keyster," Middleton and wife Tamara, stepson, Elmon "Chris" Allen and wife Jennifer, sisters, Phyllis Middleton and Sue Wood, grandchildren, Precious Middleton, Jeremy "Buzz" Middleton, Christopher Allen, and Amber Allen, special cousin, Mary Ellen Dunsord. A host of family and friends also survive.
The services to honor and celebrate Hazel's life will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home in Harlan, Kentucky. There will be a visitation on September 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Middleton Cemetery at Smith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
