Hazel Burkhart, 89 formerly of Bledsoe, passed away peacefully at Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation on February 1, 2021 after battling Alzheimer’s for many years. Hazel was a devoted Christian who loved to serve Jesus and read her bible. Hazel was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. Hazel worked as a nurse prior to becoming a homemaker.
Hazel is preceded in death by her Parents, Garrett and Georgia Taylor Burkhart and Daughter, Dina Marie Burkhart.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory, Daughters, Glenna Napier and Husband Jerry and Gloria Dixon and Husband Charles; Sons, Gary Burkhart and Wife Alma and David Burkhart; Nine Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren, One Great-Great Grandchild and one due in July; Brother, Garrett Burkhart Jr. and Wife Shirley; Two Nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2021 from 3PM to 5PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5PM with Christopher Kilbourne and Michael Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the Napier Cemetery.
Due to the mandate set forth by the governor of Kentucky, attendees must wear a mask at all times, practice social distancing and only 50% of our capacity is allowed.
