Harry Freeman

Mr. Harry Freeman, age 81, of Harlan, KY, passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Friday, March 24, 2023. Mr. Freeman was born in Harlan County on June 21, 1941, to the late Vass Freeman and Flora Freeman Rogers. He was a retired construction worker who loved spending time with his grandkids, fishing, hunting, and birdwatching.

Besides his parents, Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his son, Scotty Freeman; brothers, Charles Freeman, Rodney Freeman, Claude Freeman, Bobby Freeman, and Eugene Freeman; sisters, Liz Towe, Beatrice Baker, and Laverna Branson.

Left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children, Linda Osborne; daughters, Amanda and John Middleton, Pamela and Thomas Massingale; brother, Jerry Freeman; sisters, Kyla Browning, and Barbara Shpeherd; grandchildren, Christopher Massingale, Kirsten Massingale, Olivia Middleton, Jaxon Middleton; great-grandchild, Noah Morgan, Several nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 11 AM until 1 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM, with the Reverend Frank Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
