Girtha Curry

Girtha Lee Curry, 91, passed away on March 24, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born September 17th, 1932, in Chevrolet, Kentucky to Cecil Miracle and Margaret Elizabeth Rhymer.

Girtha was so very in love with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She wrote a song that God had given her she titled " We Give You the Praise" which she sang to virtually everyone she encountered. She loved her family, friends, Bible studies/ and old southern gospel music, nature, animals, and of course, Bingo! She was also a devoted Patriot, and she loved the USA. She embodied the true essence of loyalty, being a dedicated companion, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her heart overflowed with love for everyone in her life, and even on the toughest days, her radiant smile never wavered.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; Siblings, Cleston Miracle, Billy Ray Miracle, Ellen McCubbins; Son, Richard Cecil Curry and a Grandson, Travis Greene.

Survivors include her Children, Jack and Tonya Greene of Shepherdsville, KY, Dorothy "Dottie" and William Mims of Ooltewah, TN, Lee Curry of Louisville, KY and Terry and Denise Greene of Shepherdsville, KY; 14 beautiful Grandchildren, 30 precious Great-Grandchildren and lastly her lifelong friend and Christian sister, Betty Cobb.

Visitation will be on March 29, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 12:30PM also in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.
