Gerald Engle

Gerald Engle, age 76, of Rosspoint, KY passed away January 18, 2014 at his home following a long illness. He was born June 9, 1937 to the late Joseph and Millie Helton Engle in Knox Co., KY. He was a retired coal miner from Jerico Mining and believed in the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Lucille Fox and Willana Helton, son-in-law, Denny Adams and brother-in-law, Jim Williams.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Delores Ann Williams Engle of Rosspoint, KY; children: Doddie (Terry) Adams of Rosspoint, Sherry Adams and Junior Couch of Putney, KY and Rhonda (Carl) Freeman of Molus, KY; grandchildren: Jimmy Adams, Tracey Tye, Terry Adams, Jr., Brittany Adams, Amanda, Ashley, and Bradley Freeman; great grandchildren: Riley Slusher, Austin and Little Jo Tye, Wesley Adams, and Alli Adams; brothers: Eulis Engle of Joliet, IL, A.J. Engle of Joliet, IL, Leon Engle of Rosspoint, KY and Doyle Wayne Engle of Grays Knob, KY; sister Yvonne Green of Corbin, KY and sister-in-law, Julia (Stanley) Surber.
Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2014 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with James Forrester, Robert Keith, and Terry Adams officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Full Military rites will be performed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
