Freda Day Johnson, age 62, of Harlan, KY departed this life January 11, 2014 in Kingsport, TN. She was born Dec. 4, 1951 in Harlan, KY to the late Nannie and Walter Day. She was employed at Hardee’s of Harlan for 15 years. She believed in the Holiness faith.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Janice Day, step-daughter, Pamela Foley, and granddaughter, Freda Day.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Johnson; children: Steven Johnson and wife, Keara, of Loyall, Nannette Vick and husband, Larry, of Lexington, KY, Billy Day and wife, Bridgit of Rutledge, TN and Melissa Hubbard and husband, Matthew, of Harlan, KY; 2 sisters: Linda Johnston and husband, Fred, of Lenarue, Mabel Dilbeck and husband, Roger, of Indiana; 2 brothers: Kenneth Day and wife, Phyllis, of Smith and Darlas Day and wife, Mary, of Farmer’s Mill; sisters-in-law Vanda Skidmore and her sons: Harley and wife, Trish, James Skidmore of Cawood, and Wanda and Otis Bargo of Ohio; one special aunt, Mellie Barger of Harlan; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2014 from 5 to 9PM at the
Ages Holiness Pentecostal Church, Ages, KY. Funeral will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2PM also at the Ages Pentecostal Church with Jesse Kinder and Doug Daniels officiating. Burial will be at the Wilder Cemetery, Rosspoint, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
