Francis Bernice Hensley

Mrs. Francis Bernice Hensley, age 73 of Smith, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2019. She was born on June 26, 1946 to the late Robert Goforth Sr and Evelyn Mason Goforth. She worked 20 years as a nurse’s aide from Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Esco Hensley and a brother Johnny Ray Goforth.
Francis leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Henrietta Cornett of Smith, Minnie Evelyn Bailey and husband Tim of Harlan, brother Robert Lee Goforth Jr. and wife Hiley of Pineville, sister Mary Belle Williams and husband Ronald of Dayhoit, Grandchild Ashley Nicole Shepherd and husband Donald of Cumberland, Great Grandchildren Katelyn Elizabeth Rogers, Halanah Grace Shepherd, and Ashdon Gunner Shepherd.
Visitation will be Thursday December 26, 2019 from 4 to 6 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, Funeral service will follow at 6 PM with the Reverend Jeff Mills officiating. Graveside service will be Friday December 27, 2019 and everyone is to meet at Hensley Cemetery at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Hensley Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
