Esco Hensley, 75 of Smith, passed away December 19, 2019. He was born to the late Liddie Twinam and John Hensley on August 12, 1944. He was a retired employee of Harlan County Board of Education Transportation Department. He believed in the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hensley is preceded in death by his parents; Special Aunt and Uncle, Ruthie and Henry Hensley, whom willingly and lovingly welcomed Esco, at the age of 5, and his four siblings into their home after the death of their mother and raised them as their own; Sisters, Mary Ruth Dilbeck and Morine Bargo and late Husband Bob Bargo; Brother, Harold Hensley; Sister in laws, Jean Hensley and Jackie Hensley; Brother in law, Ralph Harber.
Esco is survived by his loving wife, Francis Bernice Hensley of Smith; Step Daughters, Henrietta Cornett of Smith and Minnie Bailey and Husband Tim of Harlan; Step Granddaughter, Ashley Rogers and Husband Donnie of Cumberland; Step Great Granddaugher, Katelyn Rogers, Halanah Shepherd and Ashden Shepherd; Brothers, Willard Hensley of Carpentersville, IL, Sam Twinam and wife Wilma of Island Lake, IL, Frank Twinam and Wife Ruby of Wauconda, Illinois, Rodney Hensley of Michigantown, IN; Sisters, Pauline Harber of Smith and Willhamenia Ginter of Morehead, KY; Brother in law, James Verlin Dilbeck; Sister in law, Lela Hensley; Special Nephew, Hunter Beard. Special friends Roger and Linda Hensley, Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family and Friends also mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 4PM to 6PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Funeral Services starting at 6PM. Jeff Mills and Kenny Day will be officiating. Burial will be Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 11AM at Hensley Cemetery in Smith with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.
