Ernie Lee Jackson, age 65 of Harlan, passed away peacefully on Friday July 26, 2019 at his residence. He was born January 23, 1954 to the late William C. Jackson Sr. and Tavia Mable Smith Jackson.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth L. Jackson, sisters Mary Sue Dean, Betty G. Jackson, Nieces and nephews Linda Dean, Rosie, Joanna Dean, and Kenneth R. North.
He leaves to mourn his passing his brothers William C. Jackson Jr. and Raymond S. Jackson of Harlan, Nieces and nephews; Wendy Jackson Felker and husband Paul of Means, KY, Raymond S. Jackson Jr and wife Roxie of Speedwell, TN, Tavia Stiltner and husband Andy of Grundy, VA, Melanie Jackson Sexton and husband Justin of Gate City, VA, Charles Dean and spouse of Berea, KY, 22 great nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver Terry Holman.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 10-12 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 12 PM with the Reverend Mike Guthrie officiating. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM. Graveside service will be Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 11 AM at Resthaven Cemetery.
