Elsie Osborne

Mrs. Elsie Osborne, 87, of Cawood, KY, passed to her Eternal Home on April 7, 2023, at the Harlan Health and Rehab Center. 

Elsie was born November 1, 1935, to the late Etta Gilliam Rogers and John Rogers in Kyles Ford, TN. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Cawood, KY, enjoyed gardening and cooking, and loved her grandchildren. 

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, P.M. Osborne; her granddaughter, Rachel Marie McCalla and her daughter, Debra McCalla. Also preceding her death are her brothers and sisters, Bobby Rogers, Jack Rogers, Guy Rogers, Tekie Rogers, Paul Rogers, May Belle, and Ethel Bryant. 

Elsie is survived by her daughters, Priscilla Carter (Jack) and Tracy Osborne (Ernest Bowman); grandchildren, Joanna Carter, Diana Whatley (Gabe), Roy Britton III, and Tyler Grubbs; sisters, Martha Nichols and Mary Brown; a host of great-grandchildren, family, and friends also survive. 

A very special thank you to all of the Harlan Health and Rehab staff for taking wonderful care of our mom and for the kindness you have shown our family. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted under the gazebo chapel outside Resthaven Cemetery at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Sean Daniels officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
