Earl “Ish” Perkins passed away January 12th, 2016 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Jim Edward and Alice Perkins in July of 1931. He was a native of Harlan County and a retired mechanic of 50 years. He was an airplane hobbyist and a loving Father and Grandfather.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by Son, David Searcy; Brothers, Frank Perkins, Robert Perkins and Bill Perkins; Sister, Mary Trett; and Grandson, Daniel Searcy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Perkins; Children, James (Della) Perkins, Neva Perkins, Jeremy (Cynthia) Perkins, Leslie (Anthony) Frye, Jessica (Charles) Stewart; Brother, Johnny (Brenda) Perkins; Sisters, Bobbie Jean Estes, Alice (Mose) Wynn; 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Mount Pleasant Funeral Home Chapel from 1PM until 3Pm with the Funeral following at 3PM. Mose Wynn and Tommy Saylor will be officiating.
