Earl Dugger, Sr., age 90, of Harlan, KY passed away March 11, 2014 at his residence following a long illness. He was born April 23, 1923 in Harlan Co., KY to the late James Fred and Oma Hicks Dugger. He served his country in the United States Army during World War ll. He was a retired office manager, repairman and lineman with Continental Bell in Evarts, KY. Earl was a member of the Kelly Street Baptist Church where he was a song leader and Sunday School teacher.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Hassie Tarleton Dugger, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his son, Earl Dugger, Jr and wife, Lisa, of Harlan, KY and daughter Earlene Napier of Louisville, KY; Grandchildren: Robert Napier, Jordan Dugger and Evan Dugger and 1 great granddaughter, Maci Lynn Napier; Brothers: Ralph Dugger of Verona, KY, Roy Dugger of Franklin, OH and Paul Dugger of Wichita, KS.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 11AM to 1PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 1PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with the Reverends Jonathan Grills and Donnie Adkisson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery. The Harlan Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers and performing full Military Rites.
