Doyle Robinson

Doyle Ray Robinson, 59, of Lenarue, passed away Friday, Septemeber 8, 2017 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital due to a long illness. A life – long resident of Harlan, Doyle was born on September 13, 1957. He was a disabled coal miner having worked for Great Western Coal Company at Mary Hellen as a scoop operator for many years. He was also a former co-owner of Pennington Florist in Pennington Gap, VA. Before his disability, he enjoyed ATV riding and mountain adventuring. As well as having a life-long love of Carpentry. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He is proceeded in death by his Mother Pauline Sergent Robinson; An infant sister, Teresa Robinson; A special Uncle, Randy Collins; A Special Cousin, Todd Collins.
He is survived by his father, Luther Robinson Sr. of Lenarue; one daughter and son-in-law, Ka’ssee Rhe’anne Robinson-Burchfield and Conner Burchfield, of Middlesboro; three brothers, Luther Robinson Jr., Jerry Wayne Robinson, and Tim Robinson, all of Lenarue; one sister JoAnn Robinson-Hoskins, of Jasper, Alabama; mother of his daughter and life’s bestfriend, Teresa Pruitt, of Lenarue; five nephews, Brad and his wife Jennifer Robinson, of Pathfork; Nick Robinson, of Lenarue; Dustin Robinson, of Tennessee; Derrick Robinson, of Lenarue; and Clint Hoskins, of Jasper Alabama; one niece, Chastity Robinson, of Oldham County; two step-daughters, Sheena Thompson, of Lexington and Shasta Thompson, of Harlan; one step-grandson; four step-granddaughters; four great nephews; three great nieces; special friends, Henry and Kathy Pruitt, of Catron’s Creek; special friends Dallas Blevins and Peggy Garett, of Lenarue; special friend, Rick (Snuffy) Napier, of Lawnvale; special friend Luke Greene; special friends Charles Pruitt and Shirdian Pruitt, of Catrons Creek; and a host of many other family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all including his two cats Lexie Mac and Starlight.
Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Funeral Service following at 6pm also in the chapel with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating. Music will be by Lillie Mae Engle. Burial will be Tuesday, September 12,2017 at 11AM at Resthaven Cemetery.
