Donald Wilder

Mr. Donald Wilder, age 73 of Baxter, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday June 30, 2018. Don was born March 21, 1945 to the late Joe H and Berniece Shell Wilder. Don was a loving husband, a faithful member of the Poor Fork Church of Christ, an avid UK fan, who loved to go fishing and gardening. Prior to becoming a Federal parole and probation officer Don taught math and was an assistant football coach at James A. Cawood High School
Don is preceded in death by his parents Joe H and Berniece Wilder.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Billie Jean Wilder, children Danny Ausmus and wife Tammy, Nicole Hoskins and husband Paul, Siblings David Wilder of Baxter, Carl Wilder of Baxter, Doug and wife Joyce Wilder of Monroe, Ohio, Dorothy Howard of Harlan, KY, an aunt Sarah Allen of Warner Robins, Georgia, Nephews Chad Creech of Baxter, KY, Derek Wilder and wife Kim of Liberty Township of Ohio, Kent Wilder and wife Brenda of Monroe, Ohio, Nieces Elena Creech of Baxter, KY, Marilu Enterline and husband Dave of Middleport Ohio, Melissa Davis and husband Julian of Monroe, Ohio, Erica Harris and husband Chip of Knoxville, TN, Grandchildren Shelbi Ausmus, Kelly Elizabeth Hoskins, Danny Ryan Ausmus, Eli Carter Ausmus, Connor Ausmus, a host of cousins, friends and other family. Special thanks to Geraldine Ellis for her loving care to Don and to Bluegrass Care Navigators: especially Bridgette, Cindy and Constance.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 3, 2018 in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home from 11 AM until the funeral hour. Funeral service will be July 3, 2018 at 1 PM with Danny Younker and Jeremy Clem officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilder Cemetery, family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
