Donald R Owens, 69, was born in Harlan, KY on December 6th, 1950 to Loland and Elizabeth Owens. He made his peaceful journey from this life on March 24th, 2020, surrounded by his children at Harlan ARH.
“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him.” -2 Timothy 2:11. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Donald closed his eyes and took his last breath here on earth, and opened them in Heaven to be greeted by his parents; the love of his life, Ada Owens; two children, Deanna Gonzalez and Randy Owens; a son-in-law, Richard “Mike” Fore; brothers, Ronald Owens, Kenneth Owens, and Glen Owens; sisters, Christine Brittain, Lilly Shackleford, and Doris Dabney; a grandson, Joshua Owens; and great-grandchildren, Allyah Rodriguez and Baby Bargo.
Left to mourn his passing are his two Sons, Donnie (Robyn) Owens, and Brian (Brenda) Owens; a Daughter, Tina Owens Fore; Granddaughters, Angela Gonzalez Getce, Rebecca (Johnny) Rodriguez, Autumn (Eric) Rodriguez, Brenda (Joseph) Millis, Stephanie (Royal) Bargo, Katelin (Jared) Blevins, Makayla (Ryan) Taylor and Reba Fore; Grandsons, Brian (Savannah) Owens, Jonathon Fore, and Kannon Owens; Great-grandchildren, Malachi, Kadence, Jaelynn, Jordan, Kaulin, Nathan, Gunner, Rylan, Bryson, Masyn, Allison, Haven, Mila, Oliver, Laken, Landon, Lucas, Jack, Jalen, Sophia, Annalee, Jenson and Makenna. He is also survived by his Sister, Janice Sue Ward Keaton; Special nephew/brother, Elsie (Cathy) Sumlar; Special friends, Peggy Holt, Francis Calton, and Leslie Bennett; A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to Governor Andy Beshear’s Executive Order, given on March 17, 2020, and based on the CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID-19, all services for Mr. Donald Owens will be private.
Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
