Dexter Callahan

Dexter Callahan, age 82, of Bledsoe, KY passed away January 10, 2015 at this home. He was born March 28, 1932 at Bledsoe, KY to the late Henry and Mary Callahan. He was a retired coal miner and logger and was a member of the Pine Mountain Church of God.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Glenda Sue Callahan; brothers, Corrum, Coleman and Boone Callahan; sisters, Joyce Curry and Thelma Turner; mother and father-in-law, Chester and Stella Couch, sisters-in-law, Mae Callahan and Callie Gross, and two grandchildren, Dwayne and Sierra.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Lillie Couch Callahan of Bledsoe, KY, children: Barbara Gail Lewis, Bobby Allen (Darlene) Callahan, William Earnest Callahan and Helen Jean Callahan all of Bledsoe, Lonnie Wayne (Sandra) Callahan of Baxter and Rhonda Kay (Steve) Brewer of Erie, PA; brother, Owen Callahan of Bledsoe, sisters Delphine Brock of Evarts and Daphne (Eugene) Miniard of Evarts; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13 at 5PM until the funeral hour at the Pine Mountain Church of God, Bledsoe, KY. Funeral will be Wednesday, January 14 at 11AM also at the Pine Mountain Church of God with Reverends Kermit Creech and Winfred Causey officiating. Burial will be at the Callahan Family Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
