Mr. Crit Howard Jr., age 77 of Bledsoe, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Howard was a Veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corp, an avid hunter, fisherman, loved his family and was a member of the Big Laurel Church of Christ.
Born on August 3, 1938 Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Crit and Cassie Howard; brothers, Jimmy Howard, Burley Howard and Raymond Howard; sisters, Euna Howard, Faye Smith, Verna Howard and Elsie Stanfield.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 54 years, Marlene Howard; brother, Gillis and wife Margie Howard of Chicago, IL; uncle, Finley Howard, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Howard will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 3 PM until 8 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 AM in the chapel with the Speaker Billy Burke officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Bledsoe, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military Honors will be rendered by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
The family request that no live flowers be sent to the funeral home.
