Mr. Clarence "Popeye" Reed

Mr. Clarence “Popeye” Harrison Reed, age 82, of Totz, KY, Passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Born in Rosehill, VA, on May 3, 1940, to the late Raymond Reed and Ruby Marie McCurry, Mr. Reed was a truck driver for RC Cola, a veteran of the United States Army, and believed in the Church of God Faith.

Besides his parents, Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his son, Steven Reed, daughter; Tina Reed, sister, Ruth Ada Moore, Andrew Reed, and Jim Reed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Brenda Reed, special son; Donnie Owens and Robyn, brothers; Larry Reed and Joyce, Raymond Reed Jr., sisters; Easter Saylor, Glenda Collins, Vivian Hendricks and Elijah, Lois June Reed, uncles; Roy McCurry, Billy Reed, grandchildren; Clarence James "CJ" Reed and Amanda, Sasha Reed and Dalton Clark, Steven Reed, Kannon Reed, great-grandchildren; Toby Hickson, Tyler Hickson, Timothy Hickson, Kaulin Reed, Zoey Reed, Shelby Reed, Landen Reed, Graceland Clark, Jaylie Clark, and Rayland Reed. A host of other family members also survive.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Harlan Honor Guard will perform military honors at the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
