Clara Mildred Hensley

Clara Mildred "Sissy" Hensley, age 80, peacefully went to her heavenly home on September 21, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a resident of Rockwood, TN, formerly of Wallins Creek, KY. Clara attended the Church of God in Wallins Creek. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and was an amazing cook. Clara enjoyed quilting, crocheting and watching westerns. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ida F. and Denver B. Hensley, her husband of 28 years R.L. Hensley, grandson Michael Shawn Hensley, sister Donna Adams and special friend Dairus Dagnam. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael Hensley of Loudon, TN, Mark Hensley and wife Cindy of Harriman, TN, Robin Middleton and husband Brian of Eddyville, KY, Randy Hensley and wife Heather of Cut Bank, MT, Missy Mills of Lexington, KY. Grandchildren: Meghan Middleton, Kayla Hensley, Cameron Mills, Randall, Corey, Madison, and Zachary Hensley, and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Beulah Moses of Wallins Creek, KY, Norman Hensley and wife Shirley of Pleasant View, TN, Robert Hensley and wife Pat of Wallins Creek, KY, Teresa Osborne McMurray and husband Gale of Bristol, VA, Dennis Hensley and wife Sandy of McHenry, IL, Leon Hensley and wife Cathy of Harvard, IL, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 11 AM. Funeral will be at noon also in the Chapel with Reverend Ed Houston officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY.
