Renee Daniel

Renee Daniel, 55 of Nicholasville, passed from this world on June 6, 2023 at University of Kentucky Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Lancaster, KY on December 25, 1967. Renee was a loving and dedicated mother, Naynay, stylist and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Renee went to Cawood High School and then went on to become a hairstylist and instructor at Paul Mitchell in Lexington. After Covid, Renee became a Hairdresser at Assisted Living Facilities in Lexington and Frankfort. She enjoyed her clients and thought of them as family. Getting to know their lives and crying and praying alongside them. 

When she wasn’t working, Renee loved spending time with her family, eating, talking and enjoying each other's company – this was one of the things that truly brought joy to her life. Her son, Jeremy was her pride and joy and she adored his wife Holly. Her grandson Jack Reed Short was the center of her world - they shared an incredible bond that cannot be quantified in words; he always brought laughter to his Naynay's face when no one else could.

Renee's personality was infectious – she made friends easily with her warm smile and generous heart. To add to that, Jeremy, Jack and Bill were her boys forever – she loved them deeply as much as they did her.

She will forever be remembered for being a caring mother who tirelessly gave of herself for the well-being of others. Her carefree laughter will echo throughout our hearts for many years to come.

Preceding her in death is her half-brother, Alva Daniel Jr.

Surviving family and friends include her Father, Alva Daniel; Mother, Carolyn Daniel; Son, Jeremy Short and his wife Holly; Grandson and light of her world, Jack Reed Short; Brother, Bill R. Daniel and his wife Joyce; Special Aunt, Janice Hamlin Snuggs; Uncle, Doug Daniel; Special Cousins, Shirley, Rhonda, Bonnie and Crystal; Best friend, April; Special Cousin, Earl Doug; Renee was also blessed with many family, the Longs, Hamlins, Daniels, Fultzs and Robinsons.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 9th at Hensley Cemetery in Smith, KY starting at 11:00 AM with Doug Daniel and Joseph Fultz officiating. Pallbearers will be her Special Cousins, Doug Stewart, Charlie Hamlin, Angela Pugh and Laura Turner.

Renee Daniel's kind heart touched many lives - she will be dearly missed by all.
