Charlotte “Lottie” Boggs, age 94 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Monday April 20, 2020 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on March 21, 1926 at pine mountain settlement school.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Betty Eads, Brothers Willie and Clyde Fields, Sisters Carol Kendrick and Wynonna Fields.
Lottie leaves to cherish her memory her son Eddie Boggs and wife Gladys of Putney, Sisters Etta Turner of Lexington, Ruth Sullivan of Berea, Naomi Rowe and husband Randy of Harlan, Grandchildren Hobert Boggs and wife Jennifer of Wallins, Jamie Boggs and wife Angie of Berea, Debbie Deal and husband Randy of Cumberland, Brooke Eads of Cumberland, James Eads Jr. of Cumberland, Great Grandchildren; Kaleb Boggs, Heather Cress, Miranda Halcomb, Parker Eads, Aubree Eads, Gavin Boggs, Avery Boggs, Gracie Boggs, Great Great Grandchildren: Shawnee Cress, Mylee Cress, Shyann Halcomb, Colton Halcomb and a host of nieces and nephews.
Due to Governor Andy Beshear’s Executive Order, given on March 17, 2020, and based on the CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID-19, all services will be private. Private Burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery.
