Cecil Leon Winfred Engle passed away August 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 14, 1943 to Joe and Minnie Engle. Cecil worked driving his own 18 wheeler tractor trailer 40 years out of Wilder, KY. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Viet Nam War and Germany. He was a member of the Teetersville Church of God.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Gerald and Wayne Engle, sisters, Lucille Fox and Willena Helton and a special nephew, Roger Green.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Russell Engle, stepson, Gene Angel of Indiana, daughter, Sheila Cunningham of Missouri, grandchildren, Austin Hundley of OH, Eric and Catelynn Curso of MO, 4 great grandbabies, brothers, RJ and Eulis Engle Joliet IL, sister, Wyvona Greene of Corbin, 3 special granddaughters, Crystal, Savanna and Candace all from Ohio, a God-Sent step-niece, Tammy McKinney of Dressen, KY, 3 special stepsons, Preston and Jeff Corbin of Rosspoint, KY and Christopher Russell all of Oak Ridge, TN, special stepdaughter, Teresa Wyrick of Berea, special pet, Lady, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, August 10 from 5 to 9pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, August 11 at 2pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Mitchell Brock and Robert Keith officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Full Military Rites will be performed by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
