Carla Simpson, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 53. She was born on November 22, 1970. Carla was an exceptional individual who touched the lives of those around her with her infectious personality and heart-warming laughter.
Carla had an unparalleled ability to bring joy to others. Her signature "Goat Face" was a source of endless amusement for everyone fortunate enough to witness it. She had a kind heart and an uncanny knack for making people laugh when they needed it most. Carla's sense of humor brightened many lives and created unforgettable memories.
In addition to her incredible wit, Carla possessed an extraordinary talent for cooking. She was particularly known for her mouthwatering cheesecakes that left everyone craving for more. Her culinary creations brought comfort and delight to countless family gatherings and celebrations.
Carla will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, J.C. and Polly Anna Burns, and step-daughter, Danielle Whitehead. Their memory will forever be cherished alongside Carla's.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Wayne Simpson, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Their bond was unbreakable and their love a testament of true partnership. Wayne will forever carry Carla's spirit in his heart.
Carla also leaves behind step-children, whom she raised and thought of as her own, Jessica Simpson, whose life was enriched by her presence. Her care and love for them knew no bounds. One sister, Christie Burns.
Among Carla's treasured nieces were Carly Osborne (Kevin) and Rhianna Durham. These two remarkable women held a unique place in Carla's heart as special nieces who brought immeasurable joy and love into her life.
Additionally, Carla had a very special great-nephew, Zayden Cole, with whom she shared an extraordinary bond. The love they shared was profound and immeasurable.
Carla's legacy will live on through the memories and love she bestowed upon her family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her contagious laughter and warm heart.
Visitation services will be held on February 10, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bledsoe Pentecostal Church, located on US HWY 421, Bledsoe, KY. A funeral service will follow on February 11, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at the same location, with interment to follow in the Burns Cemetery at Dingo.
